Can the Tuffie 5 wipes be used on any equipment?
Tuffie 5 can be used on all surfaces, equipment and non-invasive medical devices unless stipulated otherwise by the manufacturer of the equipment being cleaned. This means the user will only require one product for most (if not all) their cleaning and disinfecting needs.
What are the active ingredients, and what makes the product sporicidal?
Tuffie 5 makes use of a synergistic blend of four active ingredients including Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide and two Quarternary Ammonium Compounds. These active ingredients work together to give the product its broad spectrum efficacy. Research proves that the effectiveness of individual ingredients are enhanced in combination to produce particular characteristics.
What is the ‘contact time’ of Tuffie 5?
The contact time varies for each individual pathogen test, however most frequently the customer will be referring to the EN13704 sporicidal test. The requirement of the EN13704 test stipulates that for a product to be classed as sporicidal, it is required to achieve a 3 ‘log reduction’ or greater after being submerged in the liquid for 60 minutes. Tuffie 5 achieves a 3.11 log reduction after only 15 minutes.
